GenAI Motion
GEE SPORTS
Generative motion production at campaign level.
/Client GEE SPORTS (fictional brand) /Project GenAI spec spot /Format 9:16 social spot
The Challenge
Generative video models have advanced considerably in a short time. For brand communication, typical weaknesses remain: inconsistent characters, unnatural skin textures and physically implausible motion.
These are exactly the details that decide whether a spot is perceived as credible. The goal of this spec project was to use currently available tools to produce a spot that matches a conventional production in visual language and quality. The framework is GEE SPORTS, a fictional sports nutrition brand.
The Concept
The spot translates the brand claim “train hard – recover smart” into a clear narrative.
Macro shots of dried organic mulberries in honey and yogurt introduce the product through texture and materiality. The protagonist, Lea, links the moment of indulgence to training: the bowl scene leads into a gym sequence with battle ropes, treadmill and squats. A packshot and logo animation close the spot.

The Process
Structured Like a Conventional Production
The spot follows the workflow of a conventional production: look development, character design, storyboard, execution and post-production. Each step is assigned a specialized tool.
01
Look Development
Image studies of lighting, materials and food styling define the visual direction before production begins.
02
Character Design
A complete character sheet is created for the protagonist, Lea M., with profile, proportions, turnaround and head views. It serves as the binding reference for all subsequent generations.
03
Keyframes
Each shot is composed as a still. Retouching and the integration of the brand logo on outfit and packaging follow in Photoshop.
04
Image-to-Video
The keyframes are converted into motion. Targeted prompts control camera movement, motion and physical behavior in each shot.
05
Upscaling
Selected clips are upscaled and refined in sharpness and detail so they hold up in close-ups.
06
Post-Production
Editing and timing are done in Premiere Pro. Color grading, compositing, effects and the animation of the custom logo follow in After Effects.
07
Music and Voice-Over
Music and voice are also generated and precisely matched to the edit and its rhythm.
Character
Consistency as the Foundation
The greatest challenge with generated characters is keeping them recognizable across multiple shots.
Lea was therefore fully defined before the first scene: biography, proportions and distinctive features. Turnaround and head views ensure that face, body and outfit match in every shot.

Craft
Craft and Control
01
Physics
Credible Liquids
The flow of honey and yogurt is particularly demanding for video models. Iterative prompt refinement delivered realistic viscosity and surface gloss.
02
Character
Natural Expression
Even minimal deviations in expression or skin texture make characters look artificial. Affected shots were regenerated until expression and skin were convincing.
03
Edit
Editing as a Corrective
Not every artifact requires a new generation. Precisely placed cuts and short shot durations conceal remaining irregularities.
The Result
A Spot in Production Quality
GEE SPORTS shows that generative tools, combined with classic motion design craft, deliver results in production quality.
The spot was created without a set, crew or shoot day, with a consistent protagonist, credible food aesthetics and coherent brand staging throughout.
